The Science Behind Intuition
Since I was young, I have very much been immersed in a science and physical world. My family moved around scientific universities as my dad is a scientist of chemistry and so we were always attached to a university in some way. We would go to conferences with him and have scientists round for dinner. I then went to university to study science, gaining an MSc in Palaeobiology. Unfortunately, I felt that living in a scientific world, there was no room left for spiritual beliefs, practices or intuitive abilities. In fact I would be really intrigued to see when science friends had religious beliefs. I completely disregarded my abilities as purely coincidences.
Over the past two years, however, I have realised just how wrong I was. I feel I was "brainwashed" in a sense not just by some scientists but also the media to disbelieve anything that meant the individual has some power over their lives and the Universe as a whole. The thing is with psychic ability and energy work it does mean that we are no longer tied to commercial industry and in actual fact, we can see how much it hinders us as individuals.
I went on a bit of a mission to find those courageous scientists who looked for a connection between spirituality and science. Hundereds of years ago, science and spirituality were at one. It was when religion and science had a feud in a sense, that they parted ways and we have been left in this world where you are either on the side of science or on the side of religion/spirituality. That is a sad state of affairs because if we merge science and spirituality once again, we start to truly understand ourselves and the world around us which is what science is all about.
Albert Einstein was one of the many proponents of alchemy and as he puts it to understand the "one thing", that elusive part of our Universe that is hard to study or put into words. It is consciousness, magic, intuition, energy... His main scientific studies were actually in this field.
Dr Dean Radin, in his book, Real Magic, talks about how psychic ability is now scientific fact. There has been so much study of the subject which means that psychic ability has been proven within the 6 sigma threshold of scientific fact and the probability of chance is less than 1 in 1 billion.
